Deal: Alienware 34-inch Monitor for $599
Alienware AW3418DW - What's So Great About It?
If you want a full breakdown on why this monitor is so excellent, be sure to read our review, but if you are a "TLDR" type of person, I've got the skinny for you.First of all, this ultrawide monitor doesn't sacrifice performance for it's visuals; it delivers on both fronts (for games and media that support it) with a 1900 IPS screen, 21:9 aspect ratio, 3440 x 1440 resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
If build quality is a big deal for you, the Alienware AW3418DW is made of heavy plastic with built-in LED lights which can be customized to give off whichever color glow you prefer. For those who value appearances, the column supporting the screen also holds the monitor cables, meaning clutter is kept to a pleasing minimum, and the base doesn't take up much room so you'll still get to keep much of your desktop real estate (or you can use the VESA-compatible mount to eliminate the desktop space altogether).
As far as utility is concerned, this monitor has a DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.3, and G-Sync support. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, four USB 3.0 slots, and a USB upstream slot.
Altogether, this monitor looks excellent, performs admirably, and was worth the price of admission, even at a full $1,349.99. Now that it's $599 in this Dell Doorbuster deal? Well, let's just say my wallet is about to get a little lighter.
To quote our reviewer, "If you're in the market for this unique and immersive experience the Alienware AW3418DW is the best option out there right now. The mix of smooth 120Hz gameplay with G-Sync, fast response times, and a gorgeous IPS panel take this monitor to the top."
