Two ‘IS militants’ arrested in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGARH: The counter terrorism department arrested two alleged terrorists belonging to Islamic State (IS) militant group on Tuesday night.

CTD sources said the arrests were made during an intelligence-based operation near the Alipur bypass.

The sources said hand grenades, weapons and cash were also recovered from the suspected militants identified as Akhtar Alam and Hussain Ahmad.

They said the suspects were allegedly planning to attack a sensitive agency in Muzaffargarh.

The suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
