Nalanda Sainik School cadets launch cleanliness drive

Cadets of Nalanda Sainik School cleaned the school campus and surrounding areas by plogging on Saturday as per the advisory of the Sainik School Society and NCC Headquarters, Union ministry of defence. Launching the fortnight-long cleanliness drive, officiating principal wing commander P S Gujral, motivated the cadets to keep the school campus and surrounding areas neat and clean.

Cadets of Nalanda Sainik School cleaned the school campus and surrounding areas by plogging on Saturday as per the advisory of the Sainik School Society and NCC Headquarters, Union ministry of defence. Launching the fortnight-long cleanliness drive, officiating principal wing commander P S Gujral, motivated the cadets to keep the school campus and surrounding areas neat and clean.
He added that cleanliness is not a one-day activity it should be done every day to keep the surroundings clean. He emphasized that one should understand and make other people understand that cleanliness is not someone else responsibility. It is the responsibility of each and every individual to maintain cleanliness as essential part of healthy living. Hailing the activity ‘plogging’ as recreational and an eco-friendly exercise, he said that it promotes physical as well as environmental well being.
Youth shot dead: Mukesh Yadav, a 25-year-old man was shot dead in Pant Nagar locality under the Vishnupad police station area of Gaya town on Sunday morning. Confirming the incident, Vishnupad police station SHO Jai Shankar Prasad said that personal dispute with some of his friends led to his killing. No arrest has so been made in this connection, said the SHO.
Historical places to be renovated: All historical temples and tourists places including Kauleswar, Jatashankar, Nardevi temples and Madanpur Devi Asthan,Bawan Garhi etc. located on the lap of Valmiki Tiger Reserve will be renovated and their historical importance would be displayed on the boards, deputy CM-cum- environment, forest and climate change minister Sushil Kumar Modi said at Valmikinagar guest house on Sunday. Earlier, Modi offered puja at Kauleswar and Jatashankar temples on Sunday.
