Bihar: Sub-inspector dies in Aurangabad accident

A police sub-inspector Amit Kishor Rajak died in a road accident near Khaira village under Mufassil police station area in Aurangabad district on Sunday night. Three other policemen also received serious injuries in the accident.

AURANGABAD: A police sub-inspector Amit Kishor Rajak died in a road accident near Khaira village under Mufassil police station area in Aurangabad district on Sunday night. Three other policemen also received serious injuries in the accident.
According to sources, Rajak was posted at Obra police station and he was returning from Aurangabad by a private car along with assistant sub-inspector Lallan Yadav, constable Dinesh Kumar and Umesh Ram from duty in PACS elections.
When their car came near Khaira on NH 139, it hit a truck parked near the village.
All the four persons got seriously injured in the accident. Rajak died during treatment in the hospital. The condition of other three policemen were said to be critical. Aurangabad subdivisional police officer (SDPO) Anup Kumar said the SI was appointed in 2009 and he was recently posted at Obra police station. He was a resident of Kathari village under Rani Talab police station area in Patna district.
