Magadh University vice-chancellor to students: Rise above religious identities
GAYA: Magadh University (MU) vice-chancellor (VC) Rajendra Prasad on Sunday exhorted youths to rise over religious and regional identities and adopt a scientific outlook.
Addressing a group of over 200 students from 13 different states, including Kerala, Sikkim and Uttarakhand, at a three-day ‘National Integration Camp’, the VC pointed out that all religions required good conduct and promoted fraternal feelings.

The camp, which has been sponsored by the Union ministry of youth affairs and sports, was inaugurated by Aurangabad MP Sushil Singh and is being organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra at Gaya College of Engineering.
The VC said no country could make real progress without acknowledging the dignity of labour. “The countries that recognized the dignity of labour early made a head start in the development race,” he added.
Sushil Singh laid emphasis on the need for a common language that could link and integrate the entire country. The BJP MP also referred to special permits required to visit some parts of the country and restrictions on property acquisition in tribal areas.
“Under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has acquired special respect globally,” he said.
