Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse crowned winners of Strictly Come Dancing
The Strictly Come Dancing winners have been announced and Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse are now the reigning champions.
The former Emmerdale actor looked shocked as the announcement was made by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman while professional dancer Oti broke into tears.
The tiny Cardiff baguette shop that has hungry customers queueing out the door every lunchtime
Walk through one of Cardiff’s arcades at lunchtime and you’ll see people queueing of the door of baguette shop Fresh most weekdays.
Fresh started out as a way for Sam Halewood and Gareth Lawton, who met working in a pub, to do a 9-5 job that didn’t involve working on weekends or on Christmas Day.
Police called to Cardiff hotel after '11 rooms' broken into
A woman had hundreds of pounds worth of Christmas vouchers stolen when her hotel room, along with several others, was broken into.
Laura Carey, 39, and her fiancé Matthew Ford, 41, paid £100 to stay at the Citrus Hotel in Cardiff on Tuesday as they were going to Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena.
But when the couple, from Barry , arrived back at their hotel room that evening they realised that some of their possessions had been stolen.
Section of the Ceredigon coastal path closed off
A section of the Ceredigon coastal path has fallen away and has been closed.
The coastal path from Helyg Fach Caravan Park to the village of Tresaith has been closed.
Members of the public have been asked to keep away in case of any further movement.
Ceredigion council said staff have been on site and have put up signs and barriers to prevent the public from using the path.
Multiple crashes on the A40 this morning
There were multiple crashes on the A40 this morning, between Carmarthen and St Clears . There were poor driving conditions due to the bad weather, with icy patches on the road and hailstones covering the road surface.
Witnesses said one car ended up in the central reservation, while a police car was spotted halfway up the embankment with the airbags deployed.
Man critically ill after serious assault at nightclub
A man was left unconscious following a serious assault at a Barry nightclub.
The emergency services were called to Ten11 in Broad Street at around 2.15am on Saturday, December 14 after reports a man had allegedly been attacked and was unconscious.
The man was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where he remains in a critical condition.
Two men, aged 32 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and have been remanded in custody.
The club thanked an off-duty firefighter and nurses who helped at the scene.
Students' anger at General Election result
Students in Cardiff have expressed their anger at not being able to vote in Thursday’s General Election due to a “registration issue”.
Many say they registered before the November 26 deadline but were only told this week their details were incorrect and they had lost their vote .
Cardiff council said around 1,000 people were contacted and had their details updated but around 200 people applications were invalid.
Brandon Jeffs, 20, a drama and theatre student at the University of South Wales, said he broke down while watching the election results last night.
He said: “I was in tears watching it last night because I didn’t have a say, I wasn’t able to vote. I saw the result and cried for hours because I couldn’t do anything about it.”
Traffic between Newport and Cardiff
The M4 Westbound exit slip road in Newport was partially blocked due to an accident. Two vehicles were involed between J25 and J24. All lanes have been re-opened. However this may still cause delays between Newport and Cardiff.
Met Office warn of snow and icy conditions.
Snow is expected to fall in some areas on Sunday after icy conditions hit Wales.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice, which is due to hit parts of Wales from 9pm on Saturday.
The warning will remain in place up until around 11am on Sunday and covers areas such as Welshpool, Corwen, Bala, Llangollen and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Delays in Cardiff
Gabalfa Avenue was closed for a short while earlier due to an accident. Police say no one was injured in the crash and the road re-opened a short while ago. However, there may still be delays.

Up to 30 train services cancelled due to lack of staff
Transport for Wales (TfW) has cancelled 30 train services on Saturday, with dozens more affected by lengthy delays, due to a lack of staff.
TfW has already cancelled numerous evening services between Cardiff Central and Cardiff Bay.
Anyone travelling to Swansea , Carmarthen , Gloucester and Ebbw Vale could also be affected by the cancellations.

A teenager has been locked up for 12 years and is likely to be deported after stabbing a man outside a centre for asylum seekers.
Soheil Bahmanifard, 18, was found guilty by a jury following a seven-day trial at Cardiff Crown Court.
Speed restrictions on Welsh bridges
As gale force winds affect the Welsh, there are restrictions in place on three Welsh bridges

In Pembrokeshire, the Cleddau Bridge is closed to high sided vehicles due to high winds.
On the M48 Severn Bridge, one lane closed in both directions between J1 A403 (Aust) and J2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road (Chepstow) due to strong winds.

Windy conditions close lanes on Severn Bridge
There is one lane closed due to strong winds on the M48 Severn Bridge in both directions between J1 A403 (Aust) and J2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road (Chepstow).
There is also a 40 mph speed restriction in place.
A lane is closed in each directions for safety in case vehicles get blown into adjacent lanes.
