LUCKNOW: A day after 100 BJP MLAs protested against their own government in the UP Assembly, party MLA from Gopamau in Hardoi, Shyam Prakash, on Wednesday floated the idea of forming an MLAs association in the state to protect their rights.
In a Facebook post, Prakash said that from a peon to IAS, home guard to IPS, officers of various departments, employees, gram pradhan and traders have their associations.

“Therefore the MLAs should also form a union to protect their rights. The MLAs have become the weakest point in todays politics,” Prakash posted.
Though senior BJP leaders refused to comment on the post, a BJP MLA said that Prakash’s remarks were a larger projection of MLAs’ opinion in the UP Assembly.
