NEW DELHI: Three persons injured during the protests at Daryaganj on Friday are admitted in Lok Nayak hospital.
Dr Kishore Singh, medical director of LNJP, told TOI that two patients have serious injuries to the head and they are admitted in the neurosurgery ward. The third one is admitted in the orthopaedic unit and is recuperating from a fracture of the tibia - a large bone located in the lower front portion of the leg.

"There is no threat to the life of any of these patients at present. They are stable and recuperating well," Singh said.
The Lok Nayak hospital director said between 9pm to 11pm, 49 persons injured in the Daryaganj violence were rushed to the emergency block.
"There were two minors and 13 policemen among the injured," said a senior doctor.
Many doctors from Maulana Azad Medical College and All India Institute of Medical Sciences also volunteered to help the injured. "Those with minor injuries were given first-aid on the spot while the others were taken to hospital for further treatment," said a resident of Maulana Azad Medical College, who did not want to be quoted. He added that many protesters who were injured went to private hospitals.
"The number of people injured in Friday's protest was much higher than 49, as stated by Lok Nayak hospital," said a protester.
