AGRA: A company of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) comprising 120 men along with additional police force from Agra and Mathura was moved to Firozabad district on Sunday morning after scores of unidentified men were found engaged in firing shots in air for an hour from the roof of their houses on Saturday night.
Cops are patrolling Firozabad's Jatavpuri since Saturday night after the area witnessed stone-pelting and vandalism on Friday as part of protest against CAA.

“Shots were fired from Jatavpuri and its adjacent Kasba. There was minor stone pelting as well,” said a police officer on condition of anonymity.
Though inspector general of police Agra range, Satish Ganesh denied any incident of firing and stone pelting on Saturday night. He said, “There were men who were shouting slogans from their roofs. Therefore we used government vehicles to patrol the sensitive areas, and used loud hooters to warn miscreants about our presence and to avoid engaging in any kind of violence.”
“In order to maintain law and order, we have also roped in a company of CRPF and additional police from neighbouring districts. The situation in Firozabad is absolutely normal and we asked locals to open their shops and market on Sunday to continue with their routine life,” claimed IG Satish Ganesh.
Adding further he said, “Till now 15 FIRs, seven by police and rest eight were lodged by civilians who have lost their vehicles or were injured in violence.”
By the time this report was filed, 13 men were arrested.
Meanwhile, local police were sticking posters and distributing pamphlets of accused involved in violence, and asked local residents to help them in identifying the accused rioters.
