IIMs to design courses for CBSE faculty

INDORE: All Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs) will now design and offer several short term courses to principals and teachers of private independent schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The board this time requested all IIMs to explore the possibility to design and offer short term courses to principals and even for teachers of affiliated schools, chairperson of Indore Sahodaya School Complex Reena Khurana told TOI.
"Such programmes are extremely beneficial as they help principals train teachers to track progress of students on learning goal and device competency based education," she added. The board has been collaborating with institutes such as IIMs, IITs and other institutes to organize professional development programmes for principals and teachers.
The institutes have already been requested to conduct programmes at reasonable fees to assist participation of both well-equipped schools as well to schools in remote areas or most educationally backward sectors of the country, said Khurana.
