TIRUPATI: A hoax bomb call created panic among the passengers of the Tirupati-Guntakal passenger train on Monday.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) received an anonymous call of a possible bomb threat on the Tirupati-Guntakal daily passenger train (Train no.57475), when the train was in transit on its way to Guntakal.
The government police sleuths rushed to the Kadiri railway station at around 1.20 pm and thoroughly checked every single bogey with the help of bomb and dog squads.

After a brief while, the police confirmed it was only a hoax call and there was no bomb or any other suspicious material found on the train. The train resumed its journey to the Guntakal junction later.
