Shiv Sena MP and BJP MLA booked for attempt to murder in Maharashtra

The rivalry between the Shiv Sena and the BJP has surfaced during the on-going elections for Kalamb panchayat in Osmanabad district as both Sena MP Omraje Nimbalkar and BJP MLA Rana Jagjitsinh Patil have been booked for attempt to murder in a cross complaint registered against each other.

KOLHAPUR: The rivalry between the Shiv Sena and the BJP has surfaced during the on-going elections for Kalamb panchayat in Osmanabad district as both Sena MP Omraje Nimbalkar and BJP MLA Rana Jagjitsinh Patil have been booked for attempt to murder in a cross complaint registered against each other.
Nimbalkar is Lok Sabha member from Osmanabad and Patil is the MLA from Tuljapur seat in Osmanabad.

“As per the complaints registered with us, the supporters of Nimbalkar brought three BJP panchayat members to Solapur on Monday. Patil followed them with his supporters and the activists of both parties had quarrelled with each other. A Shiv Sena activist lodged complaint against Patil stating that he threatened the Nimbalkar’s supporters with revolver,” said a police officer attached with Akluj police station.
“Following this a case was registered against Patil and ten supporters under section 307 of IPC,” he said.
“Later, the supporters of Patil lodged complaint against Nimbalkar and based on the complaint, Nimbalkar and three others were booked under section 307 of IPC,” he said.
