A man who had a 'third testicle' hanging between his legs has finally gotten his confidence back after having Dr. Pimple Popper remove the three-pound fatty lump that has been plaguing him for a year.

Ravon, 26, from Clarksville, Tennessee, met with the famous dermatologist, whose real name is Sandra Lee, on Thursday night's episode of her TLC reality series, and even she was a bit shocked by the bizarre growth.

'My initial reaction with Ravon is, wow,' Dr. Lee told the camera. When somebody tells me that they have a growth on their leg, this is not what I'm expecting. It really took me aback initially. I thought I was looking at the wrong thing. He definitely has something here that is unique.'

The father of one was eager to get rid of the lump, which had zapped his self-confidence and negatively affected everything his sexual relationship with his girlfriend to how he went to the bathroom.

'It's like a third testicle, and it's just there hanging,' Ravon said. 'It started about a year ago and it was about the size of a bouncy ball that you get out of one of those machines.

'When I first seen it I didn't think of it as anything big — I just thought it was an ingrown hair,' he admitted. 'Then over the course of about six months to now, it's got to the size of a tennis ball.'

Not only was the growth unsightly, but it caused him pain and rubbed against his leg.

'It'll get irritated and once it gets irritated a rash will pop up on it and it'll start getting sore and then a whitehead or pimple will pop up on the bump,' he said.

Ravon then used a chair to demonstrate how the large ball of fat made it difficult for him to sit on the toilet.

'When I go to use the bathroom I have to lift up my leg. I can't really sit on it,' he explained. 'When I sit down it instantly drops into the toilet.

'I'm not saying it hits the water or anything like that, but it's hanging there,' he added. 'So you've already got two genitals there, just imagine another large mass hanging off your leg. It's just nasty.'

Ravon also noted that he was only physically intimate with his girlfriend, Brittney, two or three times a month because having the lump between his legs made him 'so self-conscious.'

'I can't live my life how I want to live my life. If I could get this removed, it would be the best thing in the world,' he told the camera.

Although he was desperate to get rid of the lump, he admitted that he was embarrassed to show it to Dr. Lee because of its unfortunate location.

In order to show her the growth, he had to stand up and put his right leg on a chair, prompting Dr. Lee to ask, 'What the heck are you doing?'

When he pulled out the lump for her to examine, she couldn't help but be taken aback.

'Are you sure that's not really part of your body?' she asked. 'Does this act like a testicle? Does it shrink when it gets cold or get blue or anything like that?'

Ravon assured Dr. Lee that it was its own separate entity, and she asked if she could touch it.

'That thing is pretty darn wobbly, huh?' she said.

In her testimonial, Dr. Lee admitted she was surprised to see a lump that large in that particular area of the body.

'It's more unusual to see a growth of this size in this area because I would think that most people won't let it grow to this size because it does affect your ability to live your life normally,' she explained.

Dr. Lee told Ravon the good thing is that the lump was hanging off by a 'little stalk,' which would likely make it easier to remove.

The dermatologist told the camera that Ravon's grow was a 'little different' than the average lipoma, which is a benign, fatty lump that grows under the skin.

'It looks like Ravon's bump started as a large skin tag that is filled with fat,' she said.

For Dr. Lee, the most challenging thing was getting her patient into a comfortable position where she could have full access to the growth — without exposing his more intimate areas.

After trying out a few different positions, she put a pillow under his backside to prop him up so she could cut off the lump.

Dr. Lee started the procedure by injecting numbing fluid into the growth before slicing into it, and Ravon was admittedly nervous to have a scalpel near his nether regions.

'Having a sharp object near my genital area — that's kind of nerve-wracking,' he told the camera. 'It's like a horror movie, what if I jerk or something and cuts somewhere else that it's not supposed to.'

When Dr. Lee was cutting away at the growth, she explained that it was a lipoma, which is a relatively harmless lump caused by an overgrowth of fat cells.

They can form anywhere on the body, but they are most common on the neck, shoulders, abdomen, and back.

'Lipomas usually occur in the subcutaneous space, which is the fat space of our body,' she explained. 'But there can be fat more superficially on some of us so the skin pooches out and accommodates it and now you can have a pedunculated growth.'

WHAT IS A LIPOMA?

Lipomas are non-cancerous lumps caused by an overgrowth of fat cells.

They can form anywhere on the body, but they are most common on the neck, shoulders, abdomen, and back.

They are usually just under the skin, shaped like a dome and soft to touch.

They occur in about one in every 1,000 people in the US and about one in 100 people in the UK.

Doctors are unsure of what causes lipomas, but believe it may be due to an inherited faulty gene or physical trauma

Most do not cause any pain unless they are deep in the body and press on nerves or organs.

If a lipoma affects the bowels, it may cause constipation and nausea.

Most lipomas do not need removing, but surgery may be necessary if the growth is large, causing symptoms or unsightly.

Dr. Lee used scissors to cut the fatty tissue away before completely removing the growth and stitching it closed.

'I was able to successfully remove Ravon's growth and I was able to stitch it up properly,' she said. 'It's a very high-tension area.

'If he were to squat down and the area was too tight, he could split the sutures,' she noted. 'But I do think I removed the minimum amount of tissue needed to really help prevent stretching of the scar.'

At the end of the procedure, Dr. Lee gave Ravon the growth to hold in his hand.

'As I was holding it in my hand it weighed about three to four pounds,' he said. 'But now that little small lump feels like thousands and thousands of pounds has been lifted off of me.

'It's a relief,' he added. 'I can't wait to show my girl. I know she's going to be super happy that it's gone and we can live our life how we want to now.

'Walking and running — all the activities I couldn't do before — it's going to be great.'
