Criminals run riot in Patna, loot Rs 6.05 lakh in three separate incidents

PATNA: In less than 24 hours, criminals looted Rs 6.05 lakh in three separate incidents of loot from different locations in Patna starting from wee hours of Sunday.
In first incident, Rs 40,000 was looted by two bike borne armed criminals from a fuel pump under Digha police station area in state capital at around 1am.
Pump owner Dilip Kumar told media persons that criminals took hostage three of his employees on gun point soon after reaching at spot.

“Employees were forced to move inside administrative building from where money was looted,” he said adding one of the criminal’s face was covered by helmet while another had wrapped muffler around head and face.
“Both were having firearms which they pulled out soon after entering pump,” he said.
Digha police station SHO Manoj Kumar Singh said around Rs 40,000 was looted from pump the owner had submitted a written complaint in connection with incident.
“Incident was recorded in CCTV camera but faces of criminals was not clearly visible. Their identity was yet to be ascertained,” he added.
Meanwhile in second incident, Rs 3.15 lakh was looted from one
Ashok Kumar from in front of DP Complex under Kadamkuan police station area at around 1pm.
Kadamkuan police station SHO Nishikant Nishi said Ashok is an employee of a paper product firm and was travelling on a bicycle from Mithapur to Kadamkaun to deliver money to his owner when loot took place.
“Ashok told police that two bike borne youths pushed him after which he fell down. They later showed him something and out of fear he handed over bag filled with money to them. Criminals immediately fled from spot,” SHO said.
He said Ashok was unable to tell clearly if criminals had actually pointed a gun at him or something else just to threaten him.
“The bag contained Rs 3.15 lakh in cash and bank cheques which amounted to total Rs 4.44 lakh. The money was collected from different shops to whom firm supplies finished paper products,” he said adding investigation were on nab criminals.
In evening again, criminals looted around Rs 2.5 lakh from a cooking gas supply agency located on NH-98 near village Chiraira under Naubatpur police station area in western Patna.
Police sources said criminals opened fire several rounds in air while fleeing after loot to terrorise staffs as well as other locals. Senior officers of Patna police had rushed to Naubatpur after the loot incident for investigation.
