PATNA: Police failed to make any breakthrough in all four loot cases in Patna on Sunday and Monday.
While a dairy firm employee was robbed of Rs2.5 lakh on Annie Besant Road under Pirbahore police station area on Monday afternoon, criminals looted Rs3.15 lakh from a paper firm staff near DP Complex under Kadamkuan police station area on Sunday. In a separate incident, two bike-borne criminals looted Rs40,000 from a petrol station in Digha area of the city while four armed criminals on two bikes looted Rs2.5 lakh from a cooking gas supply agency near Chiraura village under Naubatpur police station area the same evening.
Pirbahore police station SHO Rizwan Ahmed Khan on Tuesday said none of the criminals involved in the loot incident were identified yet.
He said investigation was going on in the case.
In the Kadamkuan case, police said no one had been arrested even two days after the incident.
Naubatpur police station SHO Samrat Deepak Kumar also said no one was identified in the gas agency loot case. “Investigation is going on to ascertain their identities,” he said.
Though Digha police station SHO Manoj Kumar Singh said the criminals involved in the petrol pump loot were identified, but police could not arrest them so far. “Though two criminals on a bike had entered the pump premises and looted money, but in course of investigation, it surfaced that their two more associates on another bike were waiting outside as a backup. The criminals live together in Danapur locality. They are also involved in other loot cases in neighbouring police station areas,” he said.
