NEW DELHI: Due to the prevalence of a fresh western disturbance, parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) witnessed moderate to heavy rain on Wednesday morning.
The prevailing weather condition is likely to affect road and air traffic movement.
Delhi airport, in a tweet, said, "Due to bad weather, some flight operations might be affected at the airport".



Vistara airlines, in its tweet, said, "Due to bad weather (thunderstorm and heavy rainfall) in Delhi, flights to/from Delhi are likely to get impacted".

According to Met officials, a western disturbance is influencing Delhi-NCR since Monday evening.

The weather department had predicted rain with hailstorm for Wednesday in the region.

"Strong surface winds to the tune of 20-25 km per hour are expected. Expect fall in minimum temperature by 3-4 degrees from January 9 to 11 while the maximum temperature may also fall by 4 to 5 degrees from January 8 to 10. Dense fog is expected at some places in the city on Friday and Saturday,” an official had said.
The national capital on Tuesday experienced light rain.
