Secunderabad man kills self over failed relationship

SECUNDERABAD: A 21-year-old private employee from Secunderabad committed suicide two days after his friend killed himself. The victim, Ravi Chaitanya, was a resident of East Marredpally.
The victim’s friend is suspected to have killed himself on account of a failed relationship. Police registered a case on Wednesday.
Ravi Chaitanya was allegedly depressed after his friend and office colleague committed suicide only a couple of days ago in Tukaramgate.Ravi on Tuesday hanged himself while his parents were not at home to the ceiling fan.
Police suspect that Ravi himself was going through issues in his relationship.
“It was found that Ravi was in a relationship. But in the recent past, the woman had been avoiding him and he was depressed about this. A few days ago, one of the victim’s friends (who was also his colleague) committed suicide allegedly due to a failed love affair,” said Marredpally inspector, M Mattaiah.
“He did not leave any suicide note. We suspect that a failed love affair led to him taking this step,” added the officer. Ravi’s body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy and a case of suspicious death was registered.
