Yogi govt transfers 14 IPS officers, Noida SSP Vaibhav Krishna suspended

In news for last few days over a leaked video, Noida SSP Vaibhav Krishna has been suspended pending enquiry as Yogi Adityanath government ordered a major rejig of IPS officers in Uttar Pradesh. As many as 14 IPS officers have been transferred in the latest restructuring.

Noida SSP Vaibhav Krishna suspended, 12 more IPS officers transferred in Uttar Pradesh

In news for last few days over a viral video, Gautam Budh Nagar Senior Superintendent of Police (Noida) Vaibhav Krishna has been suspended pending enquiry as Yogi Adityanath government ordered a major rejig of IPS officers in Uttar Pradesh. As many as 14 IPS officers have been transferred in the latest restructuring.

Noida SSP Vaibhav Krishna had surfaced in an alleged video a few days back. Post the video, Krishna had alleged cash for posting scam allegedly run by five IPS officers in nexus with few journalists. Following the revelations, Krishna wrote a five-page letter to Yogi Adityanath, which got leaked to media. The suspension of Krishna is seen in the backdrop. All five IPS officers named in the confidential report on the alleged cash for postings have also been transferred.

Lucknow SSP Kalanidhi Naithani has been transferred as SSP Ghaziabad. Sudhir Kumar Singh, SSP Ghaziabad, has been transferred to 15 battalion PAC in Agra. 

Superintendent of Police Hathras, Sidharth Shankar Meena has been transferred to Banda. Rampur SP Ajay Pal Sharma has been sent to Unnao. 

The letter sent by Gautam Budh Nagar SP Vaibhav Krishna was "unauthorised", Uttar Pradesh DGP OP Singh had earlier claimed in a press conference.
