Two students hurt in crude bomb explosion in Srikakulam

SRIKAKULAM: Two students of a government school, were injured when two country-made bombs exploded near the school at Geddelapadu village under Santhakaviti Mandal in Srikakulam district on Thursday
The incident took place when 2 children were playing near the school on Thursday afternoon. The injured students have been identified as K Tirupathi Rao (12) and M Raju (11), students of Class-VII and Class-VI respectively.

The injured children were shifted to RIMS Hospital at Srikakulam and after the first-aid at RIMS, severely injured Tirupathi Rao was shifted to KG Hospital in Vizag city.
The police said that crude bombs were hidden beneath the grass at a place and exploded when those 2 children were playing at the spot. The Srikakulam police have registered a case and investigation is on.
The locals are suspecting that wild boar hunters have been making the crude bombs in Srikakulam district and they might have placed crude bombs under the grass.
