GREATER NOIDA: A 43-year-old man was found hanging from fire sprinkler pipes inside his 2BHK flat in Supertech Eco Village on Thursday.
Surendra Ghansani, from Satna in Madhya Pradesh, used to live alone. Around 8.15 am, his brother, who lives in Ghaziabad, came to check on him and found the door locked from inside. With no answer, he called the police. “His phone could be heard ringing.
We forced the balcony door open and found him hanging,” said investigating officer Vinod Yadav. “We found no evidence of a foul play. It seemed he had committed suicide,” he added. No suicide note has been found.
The engineer used to work at a Delhi-based company but had quit in July. “He had been looking for a job since then. About a week back, he started taking tuitions for kids in his society,” Yadav said. His neighbours, too, said that he had been on a job hunt for a while. “He was a quiet, peace-loving person. I think the job search had been getting to him. He had also been all by himself over the past few months since his mother, who had come to stay with him, left,” said Arun Kumar Gupta, a neighbour.
