Avoid paying sugar tax

Dodge the sugar tax by choosing drinks with lower sugar content and avoiding Coke and Pepsi.

Then, get even more for your money by asking for no ice.

Bring your own snacks

There's much confusion over whether you can or can't bring your own snacks into the cinema.

The fact is that it depends on each individual company.

Here's what we found out for Vue, Odeon and HOME.

Vue

The website states: "Food and drink from outside our venues is perfectly welcome with the exception of hot food or alcohol."

Odeon

Replying to a post on twitter the Odeon tweeted that you can bring your own food/drink as long as it's not hot or alcoholic.

HOME

As well as its usual film showings, HOME also hosts ' Relaxed ' Cinema screenings where viewers can bring their own food and drinks to enjoy in the cinema.

During 'Relaxed' screenings, cinema lights are kept low, the film's volume is turned down slightly, there are no trailers or advertisements before the film and you'll be able to move around the cinema if you wish.
