Lucknow: Woman cop shoots self in Sitapur

LUCKNOW: A woman constable allegedly shot herself with her service pistol under Khairabad police station of Sitapur on Saturday noon.
Constable Shobha Chaudhary (30) shot herself with her 0.9mm pistol in her office, police claimed. Shobha, a native of Bulandshahr, was posted with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) and also sub-incharge with Malkhana in Khairabad."Around 1.30pm on Saturday, the head-mohrir, Ashish of Khairabad, heard a gunshot and when he reached the constable's room spotted Chaudhary lying in pool of blood and informed the police," said officiating SP Sitapur MP Chauhan. Police said Shobha was under stress due to some tension with by her husband and in-laws. No suicide note was recovered.
