India to fly its national flag at half-mast, declares one day of mourning

Muscat: To honour the passing of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, India will fly its national flag at half-mast at all locations, and has declared one-day mourning period.

The mourning period is announced to be observed on Monday, January 13, 2020 across the country, the Indian Embassy in Oman announced on twitter.

Officials added that flying the flag at half-mast also includes all Indian Missions and posts abroad.

They further said that there will be no official entertainment on the day as well.

It is also to be noted that the Embassy of India in the Sultanate will remain closed for general public services until Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
