LUCKNOW: Even two months after examinations of the previous semester got over, classes for the next semester of BCom at Lucknow University have not started.
Students on Monday lodged a complaint with the vicechancellor’s office, saying the delay will affect their careers.
The delay occurred because law examinations were postponed after several audio clips of allegedly two professors dictating questions to a women candidate went viral on December 11.

The examinations were rescheduled from January 7 to 24. After they get over, the commerce faculty is expected to begin classes.
“Our classes usually begin from January first week but this year, they are still to begin. The teachers have confirmed that they will take classes from January end, which means our entire month will be wasted,” said BCom II-year student Rahul.
Another student, Kshitij, said, “If classes are delayed, we will not get sufficient time to prepare for internal exams as after a few lectures, the dates for midterm examinations will be announced.”
LU spokesperson Prof Durgesh Srivastava said, “We will soon call a meeting with the dean to look into the matter. The decision will be taken in the interest of students.”
