Bihar: Cash, jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh stolen

BIHARSHARIF: Thieves cut open shutter of a jewellery shop at Biharsharif’s Chowk Bazar on Monday night and decamped with cash and jewellery worth around Rs 10 lakh.
In his police complaint, Mohd Umar, owner of Jannat Jewellery, said thieves cut open shutter of his shop and stole Rs 5 lakh in cash and jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh. Umar said he came to know about the theft on Tuesday morning when owners of other shops in the locality brought the matter to his notice.
SHO of Biharsharif Town police station Deepak Kumar said CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity were being scanned to identity the thieves.
There are around 40 jewellery shops at Chowk Bazar in Biharsharif.
