ICAI CA Final Result 2019: Indore topper clinches AIR 29

INDORE: Securing All India Rank (AIR) 29, Akansha Shah turned out to be the city topper in Chartered Accountants (CA) finals, whose results were declared on Thursday.
Shah qualified from Burhanpur exam centre, which comes under Indore branch jurisdiction.
Chairman of Indore branch of CIRC of ICAI, CA Pankaj Shah said that Burhanpur and Neemuch exam centres were opened by CIRC by ICAI so that students from small places get to give exams from their home town.
A total of 14571 candidates from across India cleared the final examination out of which 5125 were from the new scheme and 9446 cleared the old scheme.
From Indore, total of 401 appeared for both groups out of which 53 cleared both groups and 32 cleared first group and 48 cleared second group.
Over 260 appeared for first group out of which 86 cleared. 315 appeared for second group out of which 27 cleared old course.
A total 133 appeared for both groups out of which nine cleared both groups and 29 cleared first group and 12 cleared second group. 353 appeared for first group out of which 83 cleared. 593 appeared for second group out of which 187 cleared.
Vishesh Jain of Indore secured AIR 32, followed by Ratnesh Bhandari with AIR 35, Piyush Rai AIR 37 and Tushar Khandelwal AIR 42.
In last attempt that was in the month of May 2019, a total of 14185 had cleared the CA final exams.
Among the candidates, who had applied for group I, 33% of the new scheme and 24% of old scheme cleared the exam, among those candidates that had applied only for group II, 9% of new scheme and 32% of old scheme cleared the exam, among those candidates that had applied for both groups, 13% of new scheme and 7% of old scheme cleared the exam from Indore, said Shah.
