2020 Farm Technology Days to feature a variety of local agriculture

This summer’s Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in Eau Claire County will feature several unique farm operations.  The Innovation Square committee says the center display will represent the wide diversity of farming in Western Wisconsin, including apple, kidney bean, dairy, greens, horseradish, and salmon production.

The featured area farms are:

Chippewa Valley Bean Company, the largest kidney bean grower and processor in the world.

Ferguson’s Orchards, with its 250,000 apple trees, and fall agritourism’ activities.

Penterman Farm, the 350-cow dairy farm that is the home of Marieke Gouda, an international award-winning cheese company.

Superior Fresh, the largest aquaponic farm in the world, which produces leafy greens including lettuce year-round along with Atlantic salmon and Steelhead.

Silver Spring Foods, owned by 2020 Farm Technology Days host Huntsinger Farms, which is the world’s largest grower and processor of horseradish.

This year’s show is July 21-23 just south of Eau Claire.
