Union Ministers to visit Jammu for the outreach programme

After the abrogation of Article 370 in erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, the first group of Union Ministers comprising Jitendra Singh, Arjun Meghwal and Ashwani Choubey are visiting the newly-formed Union Territory as part of Union government’s outreach programme.

This forms part of team of 36 Union ministers who will be visiting Jammu and Kashmir in the coming five days to attend government functions in different parts of the region in order to spread awareness about the central schemes implemented.

Brigadier (retd) Anil Gupta, a BJP spokesperson in J&K said that the Ministers will take stock of the implementation of schemes after the removal of Article 370, giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir. “Mostly these will be government functions like back to village programmes. They will make people aware about central schemes,” he said.
