Cardiff restaurant could close due to row over smell

A popular Cantonese restaurant that has been serving customers for 32 years is at risk of closure because of allegations of noise and odour.

The Summer Palace restaurant on Llandaff High street, Cardiff, is appearing in the Cardiff Magistrates’ Court next week facing prosecution for environmental health offences.

South Wales Police need your help finding these wanted men and women.

South Wales Police is asking members of the public for information that could help trace suspects who are wanted on suspicion of a number of alleged crimes.

Cardiff City announce plans for Emiliano Sala and David Ibbotson tribute

Cardiff City have invited fans to pay their respects to Emiliano Sala and David Ibottson next week.

Tuesday (January 21) marks the first anniversary of Sala’s tragic death and, while there won’t be any official vigil, the club are keen to give supporters the opportunity to lay tributes at the Fred Keenor statue outside Cardiff City Stadium throughout the day.

Prison recall

Officers are searching for 26-year-old Daniel Davies from the Abertillery area, who has breached his licence conditions.

He was released from prison on August 12, 2019. He was serving a two-year prison sentence for assault.

Clear skies and calm winds will lead to a widespread frost forming early in the night. A few fog and freezing fog patches are possible by sunrise. Cold. Minimum temperature -5 °C.

Crash closes part of major road out of Newport

A crash has closed a major road between Newport and Cwmbran.

Gwent Police the incident happened on the A4042, between Newport and Cwmbran, on Saturday morning.

The dual carriageway is closed from the Grove Park Roudabout near Sainsbury’s to the Croes-Y-Mwyalch Roundabout for Cwmbran.

Driver in 'serious' condition after MPV crash

A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash in a residential street.

The Toyota MPV crashed into a parked vehicle and then a house on Blanche Street, Adamsdown, Cardiff, at about 5pm on Friday.

South Wales Police said the driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital.

The occupants of the house were evacuated and the road was closed for a short period of time.

Officers remained at the scene on Friday while they carried out door to door enquiries.
