Mobile messaging app WhatsApp is currently down across the UK.

Users across the country and in Europe are claiming they're unable to send or receive pictures, videos or voice notes.

Issues have been reported as far as India and other parts of Asia too.

According to Down Detector, issues were first reported at around noon on Sunday.

WhatsApp is yet to comment on what is causing the issues, but we will provide any updates once we receive them.

Many have reported that when trying to send pictures or videos, they either will not send at all or they appear blurred with an arrow over them once sent.

Users have taken to Twitter to share the news. @tumietango said: "WhatsApp being down man, was wondering what's wrong."
