Khrielabeituo Semou is Nerhema Wrestling Meet champ
Neiketouzo Kenguriise and others with the participants of 65th Nerhema Wrestling Meet 2020 at Nerhema village on January 18.

Kohima, Jan. 18 (EMN): Khrielabeituo Semou on Saturday emerged champion of the 65th Nerhema Wrestling Meet 2020 organised by Nerhema Youth and Sports Organisation (NYSO) at Nerhema village under Kohima district.

The champion received a cash prize of INR 20,000 that was sponsored by Luomhalie Riilho; first runner-up Kelhousetuo Sere received INR 15,000 sponsored by Shiirholhoulie Rutsa; second runner-up Dziesekhrietuo Kerhiio got INR 10,000 sponsored by Riikravolie Riilho; and third runner-up Nekhrievozo Kerhiio received INR 5000 sponsored by Selabeituo Theiinuo.

In junior category, Viphretuo Riilho, Vimhalie Chadi, Keneichiituo Semou and Kikruvilie Kenguriise stood in the Ist, 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.

Earlier in the day, PS to Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiketouzo Kenguriise attended the inaugural function as special guest.

Citing rapid growth of wrestling at the national and international level and its vast scope, Kenguriise urged the youngsters to put sincere effort and excel in wrestling. He also told the youths to value and respect their parents and elders for a successful and dignified life.

Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) treasurer Kevipusa Kezhie-o attended the closing ceremony of the wrestling meet.
