AMARAVATI:
Unfazed by protests in Krishna and Guntur districts and especially in the capital city villages, the state government has decided to go ahead with the bills proposing
decentralization of administration and repeal of CRDA Act in the assembly on Monday.
The government initially wanted to introduce the bill to repeal CRDA as a money bill to avoid scrutiny in the TDP-dominated council.
After taking feedback of legal and legislative affairs experts, the government has decided to introduce it as general bill and route it to council.
Since the chances of the council returning the bills with amendments are high, YSRC is ready with counter strategies to clear the bills during the current session itself.
TDP-led protestors are determined to take on the government as they are gearing up to intensify agitations on Monday. Joint Action Committee (JAC) backed by TDP has appealed to people to lay siege to the assembly in the 'do-or-die' battle to protect capital Amaravati.
