Manchester City are away to Sheffield United in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

City head to Bramall Lane attempting to bounce back from their lacklustre 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace last time out, which lengthened Liverpool’s lead at the top to 16 points, following their routine 2-0 win over Manchester United.

Sheffield United, however, continue to overachieve as a newly promoted Premier League side. The Blades earned a point at the Emirates during their weekend trip to Arsenal, and they will be hoping to reverse the form of Manchester City’s 2-0 win over them just three weeks ago.

Chris Wilder’s men have only gained five points from their last five Premier League matches, although they have faced Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal in this time.

Before drawing against Crystal Palace, The Citizens had won five consecutive games in all competitions and they will be hoping their last result was nothing more than an anomaly.

What time is kick-off?

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Tuesday 21st January. This unusual kick-off time is due to the congestion of Premier League midweek fixtures, allowing for the staggering of BT Sport’s televised games with Chelsea vs Arsenal to follow at 20:15.

You will be able to follow all the action on the MEN's live blog.

Team news

Manchester City are still unlikely to be without long-term absentees Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane - who are still nearing a return.

Laporte is due to make his comeback in the FA Cup fourth round against Fulham this weekend, whereas Sane may not be seen in a City shirt until next month.

John Stones suffered a leg problem in the last minutes of the Crystal Palace draw and Benjamin Mendy has muscular fatigue - who are both also doubts for the clash.

Odds:

The bookmakers have made City short-priced favourites on the road, despite The Blades’ resilience this season, particularly at home:

Sheffield United – 15/2

Manchester City – 4/11
