Ebix to sponsor upcoming New Zealand-India cricket series

MUMBAI: Ebix, the international supplier of on-demand software and e-commerce services to insurance, financial, healthcare and e-learning industries, has signed a sponsorship deal for India’s Tour of New Zealand 2020.
As part of the deal with the New Zealand Cricket board, the upcoming home series will have Ebix as the ‘Powered By’ sponsor for India’s entire six-week tour of New Zealand.

The Virat Kohli-led Indian team will play five T20 Internationals, three One Day Internationals and two Test matches with Kane Williamson-led Kiwis between January 24 and March 4.

“We are delighted to be among the sponsors for the New Zealand-India series,” said Robin Raina, chairman and CEO, Ebix. “Cricket in India has been the best marketing vehicle for brands. The series becomes more significant when the cricketing power house that Team India is scheduled to play against the World Cup finalists.”

As per Raina, the tie-up with New Zealand is a reflection of their commitment for sports.

“It’s been an exciting home season for the Black Caps and with teams now looking forward to the T20 World Cup later this year,” said a spokesperson for New Zealand Cricket. “We want to thank the series partners that recognise the global nature of the game and support cricket across boundaries.”
