Toyota to move production of Tacoma pickup trucks to Mexico

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — They say “Everything’s bigger in Texas” and in the next couple of years, that will include the pickup trucks being assembled here.

Toyota announced last week all production of the midsize Tacoma pickup will be moved from San Antonio to Mexico.

However, no jobs will be lost when Tacoma assembly ends by late 2021. The move is so the automaker can free up space and resources in San Antonio, where they will focus on producing full-size trucks and SUVs.
