Odell Beckham adds surgery to already-frantic offseason

The NFL regular season ended less than a month ago, but it’s already been an eventful offseason for Odell Beckham Jr.

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a core muscle injury, the Browns announced, an issue that plagued him during his first season in Cleveland after being traded by the Giants last year.

Beckham, 27, sparked controversy after LSU’s national championship win when the former LSU star handed cash to players following the game. The worries escalated when video revealed Beckham spanking a security guard in LSU’s locker room.

An arrest warrant was issued for Beckham after the incident, but it was withdrawn after the man who was slapped decided against pressing charges.

The NFL was reportedly “monitoring the situation.”
