A ground-breaking, non-surgical treatment that extracts fat cells from the stomach and injects them into painful joints will be showcased for the first time at Arab Health 2020.

 

The Regenerative Clinic – located in the Harley Street Medical Area (HSMA) and the UAE – will be attending the exhibition to showcase their award-winning alternative treatment to orthopaedic surgery.

 

Lipogems is a minimally invasive procedure that encourages the body to heal itself naturally. The technology works by extracting natural repair cells (mesenchymal stem cells) from fat, which are then injected directly into the affected area (such as the hip, knee or elbow) – harnessing the rejuvenating properties of body fat to treat conditions such as arthritis.

In a keynote presentation January 30, Nima Heidari, from The Regenerative Clinic, will deliver results on recent advances in regenerative orthopaedics. 

 

Heidari is a Consultant Foot, Ankle and Limb Reconstruction Surgeon, BMI Healthcare and St Bartholomew's & The Royal London Hospital, London, UK.

 

He will deliver full results of the first one year knee scores on Regenerative Clinic patients with osteoarthritis showing that 83 per cent patients responded positively. The results are the same average response rate as total knee replacement.

 

Lipogems technology is FDA approved in the USA, and CE marked in the UK. Over 25 000 procedures have been conducted worldwide with no post-procedural infections recorded and a striking early success rate.
