WWE's Asuka was fortunate to escape unharmed after she was caught up in a shopping centre shooting in Las Vegas on Tuesday night.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the incident- which took place the Fashion Show Mall- in which three people were shot.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, and the LVMPD believe it was an isolated incident, but fans of Asuka were worried for the 30-year-old's safety when she took to Twitter to tell of her experience, saying she was forced to run to the jeans store GUESS.

She tweeted shortly after the shooting took place saying: "I just escaped! There was a scream in front of me at #FashionShowMall. It was like shooting. #GUESS near the shooting range protected me."

Police and ambulances arrived on the scene at the Fashion Show Mall shorly after the shooting

She continued: "I heard screams from outside the door several times after fleeing to GUESS. #FashionShowMall."

She received plenty of replies of support, with one fan tweeting "We love you Asuka. Stay safe please," while another added "That has to be terrifying, we are all glad you're hopefully safe and sound now."

It is believed that the shooting occurred following an argument between two gangs of young people, which finished with one of them pulling out a gun and starting to fire.

Not long after the incident a spokesman for the LVMPD said: "This was not an active shooter. This was an isolated incident."
