Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, as you probably heard, were pictured enthusiastically greeting each other at the SAG Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. Since then, talk about the famous exes – who were from 2000-2005 – and their apparent friendship has taken over the internet.
(Let us not gloss over the fact that, at the ceremony, Jen won the Female Actor in a Drama Series award for The Morning Show, by the way).
And just when you thought it was all getting a bit out of hand, Jen’s close friend Courteney Cox has thrown fuel on the fire by liking a very – and we mean very – intriguing tweet about the pair.
The same day those pictures surfaced of Jen and Brad embracing, a Twitter user commented: "They still love each other, no doubt."
And, as random as it might sound, Court liked it.What does it mean?!
Courteney and Jen have remained firm friends ever since their sitcom days, even staging a mini-Friends reunion with Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay on the show, last week.
So, given Courteney’s insider knowledge, this public indication of Jen and Brad’s ‘love’, whatever that word means in this context, is very telling.
It could of course mean the pair merely love each other platonically as, for want of a better word, friends... The Ad Astra actor did attend Jen’s 50th birthday party last February, after all.
But for pop culture fans holding out for a romantic Hollywood reunion, the like may speak volumes.
What’s more, it follows Scream star Courteney liking a Comment By Celebs Instagram round up of famous people freaking out over the pictures.
In the post Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn Spears, for example, is seen gushing: "We will be telling out grandkids about this. That’s how important this is."
Thank goodness it wasn't Britney and Justin!
