LAHORE: A 20-bed makeshift hospital has been established at National Hockey Stadium for the tour of Bangladesh cricket team.

Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti, on Wednesday, visited makeshift hospital and CCTV Control Room.

While talking to media on this occasion, Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said that Punjab govt has made excellent arrangements for the tour of Bangladesh cricket team. “The tour will be successful and the cricket lovers will witness some best cricket at their home ground,” he expressed his hope.

Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said that continuous tours of international cricket teams are enough to gauge that law and order situation in Pakistan has improved a lot. “It is only due to positive role of all departments. We are also going to hold kabaddi world cup in which 10 top teams of the world including India will participate and we are ready for that grand event as well”.

Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said: “We have best CC TV control room system in place for international sports events. There are around 150 cameras working in Nishtar Park Sports Complex and we are quite confident to provide best security cover to Bangladesh cricket team”.

Answering a question, Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said a proposal has been finalised to build a 5-star hotel in Nishtar Park Sports Complex.

“In future international cricket teams will stay in 5-star hotel during their cricket matches at Gaddafi Stadium. In this way rest of the city will not be disturbed during international cricket matches”.
