Traffic plan devised for cricket matches

LAHORE:The traffic police have made a comprehensive traffic plan for smooth traffic flow during the series of cricket matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

According to the plan, the SP City and Sadr divisions, CTO Gujranwala and CTO Faisalabad, 16 DSPs and 1600 traffic wardens, including 90 inspectors, will perform duties to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Apart from this, five breakdowns and 20 fork lifters will be deputed to clear the traffic. Five points have been designated for parking. Police will welcome cricket spectators and children in a traditional way by distributing flowers and candies among them.

The traffic will be open on both sides of The Mall, Jail Road and Canal Road and MM Alam Road. Radio FM 88.6 and RASTA App will keep citizens updated on the traffic situation. The citizens can also contact at CTP 24/7 helpline 15 to get information about alternative traffic routes.

old home: Police admitted a 50-year-old woman to an old home “Affiyat” here on Wednesday.

DIG Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed took notice of a video viral on the social media regarding the helpless poor lady, Shehzadi Ghazala, and directed the officers concerned to trace the woman and extend maximum help to her. Police traced her and admitted her to the old home. Shehzadi Ghazala has a 20 years old son who is in jail due to his criminal activities.

She earns her living by collecting things from garbage in the streets and stays on temporary basis in different areas of the City.
