OGLINE TOLD ME I HAD ZERO INDICATION THAT HE WAS ANYTHING BUT 18" POLICE CHARGED OGLINE WITH POSSESION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND COURT PAPERS CLAIM THAT OGLINE KNEW THE TEEN WAS 16. OFFICIALS WITH VERONA POLICE SAY WHEN THEY LEARNED OF THE CHARGES THEY SUSPENDED HIM WITHOUT PAY. OGLINE TELLS ME HE WAS ALSO WORKING PART TIME IN INDIANA TOWNSHIP WHERE HE HAS NOW RESIGNED. OGLINE ADMITES TO ME THAT HE IS GUILITY OF PROVIDING THE TEEN WITH ALCOHOL BUT SAYS "I ABSOLUTLEY DENY THE HEINIOUS CHARGES AGAINST ME" >> HE IS SUSPENDED WITHOUT PAY HIM HIS POSITION HERE AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUT HE SAYS HE PLANS TO ATTEND A MEETING WITH MANAGEMENT WHERE HE HOPES HE GETS A CHANCE TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED. HE IS HOPEFUL THAT HE WILL KEEP HIS JOB AS THIS CASE MOVES THROUGH

Verona Borough Council votes unanimously to terminate police officer charged with child pornography
Verona Borough Council voted unanimously Tuesday evening to terminate part-time Verona borough police Officer Anthony Ogline, who is charged with child pornography. Borough Manager Jerry Kenna said the actions of Ogline do not represent the borough of Verona. Ogline was arrested and charged last week with child pornography. He was immediately suspended without pay. On Jan. 16, Whitehall police were investigating after a 16-year-old boy walked away from his school at midday and got into a black sedan. Police tracked the boy's location to an address in Verona borough Jan. 17. According to the criminal complaint, the address was owned by Ogline, a Verona borough police officer. As police attempted to make contact, Ogline arrived in his car with the boy. Police said Ogline had picked the boy up from school and provided him with alcohol and marijuana and exchanged pornographic images with him. Ogline said he did provide alcohol to the teen, but denied smoking marijuana and said he would consent to a drug test to prove that. Ogline has been charged with possession of child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and several other charges.Ogline said he also worked part time in Indiana Township, and said that they asked for his resignation.According to the criminal complaint, the boy told police he met Ogline through the dating app Grindr about three months ago. The boy said he told Ogline that he was 17 years old and Ogline said, "That's OK consent is 16 years old." Ogline allegedly requested naked pictures from the boy and sent him naked photos.According to court papers, Ogline told the boy he could stay with him for a few days when he picked him up from school. The boy told police that while they were at Ogline's house, they watched movies, sat in front of the fire, drank alcohol and smoked marijuana. Ogline allegedly served the boy mojitos and four shots. According to the criminal complaint, Ogline then kissed and performed sex acts on the boy before he fell asleep. Ogline is expected to face a judge on the charges in February.
