Pontins in Southport is having a huge recruitment drive with a whole host of roles available.

The holiday park, owned by Britannia Hotel group, is holding a recruitment day at their site in Ainsdale, on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January, with everything from cleaners and catering staff to sales advisers needed.

Desired applicants will be "enthusiastic", provide excellent customer service and have a "can do attitude".

In 2019, guests staying at Pontins Southport reported staying in "unsafe and dirty chalets" and having "horrific" holidays at the site, which was like a "prisoner of war film."

But it is clear that with the start of a new year, the holiday park is looking forward to the future by recruiting a variety of new staff members.

The roles on offer include bar and catering staff, retail team members and cleaners.

The holiday park is also looking for a web and marketing executive to join their Southport team. The role includes being responsible for launching and managing offline print media campaigns and regularly updating the website.

Successful candidates will be "excited by the idea of working on a diverse and ever-chaninging set of projects, in a fast-paced environment".

Web & Marketing Executive - full time

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of marketing material (both online and offline)
  • Building website landing pages in support of marketing campaigns
  • Ensures company products and services are effectively promoted and branded
  • Development of content for a range of communications channels
  • Researching and creation of social media content across multiple platforms
  • Assisting with the implementation of PR activities, working with external agencies
    Any other duties as appropriate

The contract is full time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, with working hours between 9am-5.30pm.

Telephone Sales Advisers - full time

A statement in the job role description, said: "We are looking for a "Can do attitude" to wow our customers to achieve great sales and targets whilst working in a busy, fast paced and fun environment.

"This is a telephone-based role, focusing on sales for one of the UK’s biggest Holiday providers.

"You will be required to respond to customer’s enquiries giving accurate pricing information in order to maximize sales within the sales centre."
