Pierson says part of the problem is the downsizing after the Haynesville Shale. He says changes are taking place at Barksdale. He says we lost jobs at Continental Express when they lost their contract.

He says "we must focus on bringing the attributes of the area to the forefront so we can continue to grow." Be he adds "we can and will do better." Pierson also told us we have plenty of room to grow in the medical arena. He says the Cyber Innovation Center will also bring growth to our community. He says if things line up like he hopes we could easily erase the loss of 3,000 jobs from last year and even gain 9,000 jobs this year.
