Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Jan. 28, 2020

Ticked Off

It was quite comical to see MLA Drew Barnes seated at the Alberta Fair Deal Panel table and MLA Michaela Glasgo in the audience since neither one of them has been able to secure Medicine Hat and the region (their ridings) a fair deal with their own UCP government.

Tickled Pink

The largest problem facing our political system is not debt, it is policy that continues to erode the middle class while concentrating wealth in the control of an elite few.

Ticked Off

I hate the use of the term “fake news.” News is the reporting of who, what, where and when. Clear facts. Editorial is the portion of journalism that deals with why and can be biased or slanted. Stop confusing news with editorial opinion. Everyone has a right to opinion, it is up to the reader to filter and question.

Ticked Off

People keep voting to “send Ottawa a message,” then whine about not getting a fair deal. Guess your message was received loud and clear.

Tickled Pink

I went out to shovel my driveway as had been in my house for days. Two very young ladies stopped and offered to shovel for me. I did not need help but I was so tickled to have the offer for help. There are still good young people out there. Many thanks for the offer.

Ticked Off

It is time all our Canadian premiers took a civics lesson. We do not live in a republic, but a confederation of provinces. There is a difference. Stop imitating American politicians.

Tickled Pink

Now that the partisan window dressing panel is concluding our government can drop the ruse and get on with their predetermined course of action.

Tickled Pink

With the government changes to physician compensation. GPs are making an absolute killing and taking advantage of the system as it is now. Maybe the only thing this government is doing that I agree with.

Tickled Pink

I am really enjoying the excellent bridge lessons at the Veiner Centre. I can tell this is a game which I will enjoy and which will challenge me for the rest of my life. I’m grateful to have this facility to play in and the opportunity for social interaction.

Ticked Off

There’s no stopping Kenney and his UCP caucus. They should review just who voted for them in the election because they are burning their support. Maybe they need another panel and they can call it, “Where did we screw up?”

Ticked Off

As an adult who chose not to have children, I get nothing out of my tax dollars paying for someone’s kids to get $25 childcare.

Tickled Pink

That the UPC has lifted the regulations on the insurance companies, just wanting to thank them for the 30% increase on my vehicle!

Ticked Off

Millions of taxes not paid to municipalities. But the CEOs got their bonuses of millions.

Tickled Pink

The highlight of my Tuesdays and Thursdays is checking out this column! So much pettiness!
