BJP Manifesto 2020 Live, Delhi Election 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released ‘Delhi Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) for February 8 Assembly elections in the national capital. The saffron party has promised good quality wheat flour at Rs 2 per kg for the poor and supply of clean drinking water to every household. The election document was unveiled in the presence of senior party leader Nitin Gadkari, Union minister Harsh Vardhan, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, party’s Delhi election in-charge Prakash Javadekar, Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel and other leaders. Addressing the media, Gadkari said the party will run the ‘bullet train’ of development in the national capital. The manifesto said in line with the Central government’s Jal Jeevan Mission, the party will also provide clean drinking water to every household. Besides, Tiwari said that the saffron party will implement Central government’s flagship schemes Ayushman Bharat and Kisan Samman Nidhi in the national capital. Also, electry scooty will be given to college girls and bicycle to class 9th and 10th girls.

According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, polling across all 70 Assembly seats in Delhi will take place on February 8 and the results will be announced on February 11. The tenure of the current Assembly expires on February 22. In the previous Assembly election held in 2015, the AAP had pocketed 67 of the 70 seats. The BJP won just three seats and the Congress drew a blank.
