Class IV students of Nashik ZP shown 'Tanhaji'

A hundred Zilla Parishad students of Class IV were shown the new historic release "Tanhaji" at the city multiplexes on Thursday. These students are from four different schools and were brought down to the city with their teachers.

NASHIK: A hundred Zilla Parishad students of Class IV were shown the new historic release "Tanhaji" at the city multiplexes on Thursday. These students are from four different schools and were brought down to the city with their teachers.
Class IV of Maharashtra state board has a textbook called Shivrayancha Itihas (history of king Shivaji) which has a chapter about Tanhaji.

The headmaster of ZP School Rajewadi, Pankaj Dashpute, said "There is a lesson about Tanhaji in their social science syllabus. We wanted the students to have an experiential learning. Thus was also an outing for the students and they enjoyed the movie thoroughly."
The boys had dressed up like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the girls were clad in navari sarees like his mother to watch the movie. Many of the students were the first ones to watch any movie in the theatres. Watching it in 3D was an overwhelming experience for them.
Srushti Kapse, a Class IV student of ZP Primary School, Ganeshgaon (Na), said "I loved to watch our History lesson on a big screen. I watched the characters from my book playing live on the screen and it was an awe-inspiring experience."
Abeer Dashpute, another student from ZP Primary School, Rajewadi, said "I used to watch the other cartoons earlier but I like watching the cartoons based on Chharapati Shivaji Maharaj now."
ZP Primary School, Ganeshgaon (Na) and ZP Primary School, Igatpuri had brought down 50 students on Thursday while the 50 students from ZP Primary School, Rajewadi and ZP School
Shivangaon had watched it last week.
A teacher accompanied per bunch of nine students. The teachers managed the conveyance of the students and a city based NGO sponsored the tickets. Jagbir Singh, Secretary of the NGO said "The students deserve to know our rich heritage. Our team was ecstatic to see their response."
Earlier the same NGO had shown Chhapaak to a hundred girls of Ramabai Ambedkar School.
