CNA-Q Engineering Technology programmes receive full international accreditation

Doha: CNA-Q has received accreditation by the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB). 

Six additional programmes were recently accredited by CTAB; Electrical Power Systems Technician, Telecommunications and Network Engineering Technician, Telecommunication and Network Engineering Technology, Process Automation  Technician, Mechanical Technician (Industrial Maintenance), and Chemical Processing Technician. 

With this latest accreditation certificates received, all of the engineering programmes offered at CNA-Q are now internationally accredited.

Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, Acting Vice-President, Academic, has indicated that the latest accreditation of CTAB are in line with our strategic plan and serves the overarching goal of the College which is the student success in terms of having high quality learning methodologies that are internationally recognized, continuously monitored and improved. 

The dean of the school of engineering technology at CNA-Q, Dr Awni Al-Otoom, elaborated that the latest accreditation is a proof of our commitment at CNA-Q to deliver world class of technical education that focuses on experiential learning with highest international standards. He stated that the state of the art workshops, laboratories, and highly skilled and qualified instructors at the school have enabled the College to receive these prestigious certificates of accreditation.

CTAB Established in 1982, it is a standing committee of The Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT). The board is in charge  of developing, coordinating and managing the national accreditation programmes for applied science and engineering technology programs, locally and internationally.
