Three-year-old raped in Etah by drunk neighbour

AGRA: In a horrific incident, a drunk man raped a three-year-old girl in Etah. The incident took place on Tuesday evening in Nurewadi Mohalla of Nagar Kotwali police jurisdiction.
According to police, the accused identified as Bhagirath was booked under IPC section 376 AB and POCSO. On Wednesday afternoon he was sent to jail after being presented to magistrate.
According to victim’s mother, “My daughter had left home to play along with other children in the colony, but when she did not return home for more than an hour, I went to search for her along with my husband.
We found her in Bhagirath’s confinement, where she was stripped off her clothes.”
“Her abdomen had blood stains, after which we confronted the accused and took him to police station along with her daughter,” said the victim’s mother who works as a maid in local area.
Speaking to TOI, Ashok Kumar, in charge of Nagar Kotwali said, “The man was heavily inebriated and the victim’s clothes were lying on his bed. He was caught red handed by victim’s parents.”
“During interrogation, the accused claimed that he was father of two sons and made a mistake. The accused has no criminal history, but we have sent him to jail,” said the SHO.
