MP: Tiger kills woman near Satpura Reserve, angry mob destroys forest office

The killing of a woman by a tiger near Madhya Pradesh’s Satpura Reserve has triggered violent protests by villagers. This was the second such instance in the past one week after a woman was killed and partly eaten by a tiger in Katni. A mob of around 100 villagers torched a forest office, they demand that the tiger be removed from that patch of STR in Hoshangabad district. According to sources, around 20 people have lost their lives in tiger attacks in the past four years.
